Hello!

Just a tiny update to say that I've been quiet lately because the headaches have gotten worse. I know why I get them, and they don't last forever, but it is what it is for now. Regrettably, nothing wipes out my motivation to solve coding quandaries like a headache. Thanks for your patience! And do note that I haven't stopped working on Chapter 2, I'm just working slower than before, out of necessity.

Once again, wish I could share something exciting and definitive, but in lieu of that, here is an excerpt from my current draft:

Time moves, but you stay the same. Yet not the same at all.

Your night vision has become sharper, more distinct. You aren't sure if it's the food of these enchanted lands or the constant dimness of your surroundings and the gentleness of the moonlight. It's harder to stay awake during the day.

Part of you is terrified to lose yourself to the night hours. Part of you welcomes the change—it's different from the life you had before. That much you know. In the end...

⮞ You find you prefer it this way, under the moonlight.
⮞ You just miss the feeling of the sun and its warmth.

Your MC will be able to decide this (and make other similarly trivial Game-Defining Choices) in Chapter 2...

I'll post an update either here or on my blog to let you know when the first draft is complete, and here when it's finally been sent off to betas! Erstwhile you can probably expect a few more excerpts on my blog, especially as I get closer to wrapping things up.
